6/6/17 Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teachers
Using Steven Covey’s 7 habits for highly effective teacher, we will spin off 7 tips for high effective teachers. (Clarifying for all - example of writing a persuasive paper vs giving a presentation from UVU on UDL, UWHEN Seth Unleash the leader for getting audience involved). Facilitated by Jen Hunter

Quality Matters: Match each QM standard to 1 of the 7 habits

6/13/17: Quality, Transparency, Inclusiveness: Components of a Great Online CourseStudents expect a great experience when taking an online course at SUU. A "content dump" of face-to-face course materials into an online course falls far short of providing a valued learning experience. Three basic components establish a good foundation for an effective online course: 1) Adhering to Quality Matters online course design standards. 2) Providing students with transparency of purpose, tasks, and criteria for success. 3) Creating an environment of inclusiveness. Facilitated by Karl Stevens

This workshop correlates to Quality Matters standards 1.2 and 8.4.

6/20/17 Creating Learner-Centered Discussions (in any course)
Do you want to learn a new twist on an old classic? Use the discussion as a platform for a debate, Think-Pair-Share, Brainstorming, and more! You can even use these same formats in your face-to-face courses. Facilitated by Michelle Miller

This workshop correlates to standard QM  5.2
(Learning activities provide opportunities for interaction a that support active learning.)

6/27/17 How to Make your Video Presentations Pop!
Learn to use Acano, Hangouts, GoToMeeting, and other platforms for synchronous meetings. Facilitated by Shane Flanigan
