March Training Schedule

SUU Online offers training on the following topics: instructional design, Canvas tools, online course development & design, etc. We typically offer weekly training.

All workshops are held at 2:00 pm in the Bennion Building third-floor conference room. (BB304H)

Note: We recommend you bring your own laptop or device for participation or note-taking.

3/7/17: ELOs Now Included in Your Brand New Course Shells

With technomage wizardry all course shells created in Canvas will have the ELOs available. Learn how to effectively use this or learn how to remove what you don’t need to use. Presented by Jennifer Hunter

3/14/17: Orientation = Less Questions

Do you have an orientation to your course? An orientation can let students' know where to access materials, build community, etc. This can reduce the questions they have during the semester as they will already know where to go and what to do. Presented by Michelle Miller

3/21/17: Teach Your Students on their Mobile Device

Whether phones, tablets or laptops, SUU student average multiple devices and bring them to class. Learn how to use a simple cloud-based platform to deliver engaging presentations to your students in a way that interests them. Presented by Mark Atkinson

3/29/17: How to Make your Video Presentations Pop!

Learn to use Acano, Hangouts, GoToMeeting, and other platforms for synchronous meetings. Presented by Shane Flanigan
